Bernhard Sachs: Codex (Naarm/Melbourne: Sonntag Press, 2025) is the first and only monographic publication on the work of the prolific artist and educator Bernhard Sachs (1954–2022). The book features new scholarship by Barbara Bolt, Edward Colless, Ashley Crawford, Sean Lowry, Anne Marsh, and Tom Nicholson, as well as contributions from Stephen Haley, Raafat Ishak, and Hamish Sawyer. Interweaving essays with a selection of key works and archival material, Codex imparts the depth and complexity of Sachs’s legacy and his enduring influence on artistic practice in Melbourne and beyond.
